Infrastructure Assurance

TÜV SÜD is an internationally recognized brand. Its rail infrastructure assessment and certification services are used extensively to demonstrate quality, reliability and safety, across a large number of railway networks. The assurance we offer helps build trust in a wide variety of railway infrastructure products and solutions.



TÜV SÜD Rail also undertakes derailment assessment, damage assessment such as track faults, simulation of track layout stability, assessment of elevated building and bridge structures and maintenance procedures.

We provide Testing and Certification for railway infrastructure ranging from the construction of new High Speed and Conventional Lines to track components, such as sleepers and track lubrication systems. We have other dedicated teams to assess Fire Protection concepts within railway stations, tunnels and throughout the entire network.

As a result we have developed close working relationship with infrastructure controllers, Infracos and major equipment suppliers.

Many large infrastructure projects now fall within the scope of the EMC Directive 2004/108/EC as a ‘fixed installation’ and there are now formal requirements that must be met.
We understand the many and conflicting requirements associated with successful integration of complex equipments within High Speed and Conventional Rolling Stock as well as Metro and Light Rail applications. We have experience of working on projects throughout Europe, Asia and North America.
