Being one of the most promising technologies for the 21st century, LEDs are setting off a global lighting revolution. With global warming and climate change now a reality, many countries across the world are developing their LED industry as part of their national strategies.
On September 26, 2012, European Union officially published the new energy labeling regulation of electrical lamps and luminaries. On December 14, 2012, European Union officially published the commission regulation (EU) No 1194/2012 with regard to ecodesign requirements for directional lamp and LED lamp. These regulations are already applicable and bring about a lot of confusions to the manufacturers and importers.
