China's Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) released “Notice on application of CCC implementation rules for adaptors” on 3 March 2016. Further to the Notice CNCA 2016 No. 3 “Compulsory China Certification Requirements for adaptors and cord extension sets”, the adaptors were newly included under “Implementation rules for compulsory certification of Switches for Circuit, Installation Protective and Connection Devices” (certification implemented rule no.: CNCA-C02-01:2014) which are GB 2099.1, GB 2099.3 and GB1002/ GB1003. Among which, the latest version of GB2099.3 was published on 13 October 2015 and will be implemented from 14 April 2017.
Below are the major requirements to implement rules for adaptors:
1. Application for compulsory product certificate for adaptors has begun on 3 March 2016.
2. From 14 April 2017, adaptors which fail to obtain CCC certification may not be manufactured, sold, imported or used in other business activities.
3. For adaptors which have been certified with Voluntary CQC Mark according to GB2099.3-2008, manufacturers should apply for and obtain CCC certification before 14 April 2017. Besides the deviation between GB 2099.3-2015 and GB 2099.3-2008 certification, CQC FI report will remain valid.
