The (Senior) Technical Governance Officer is a team member in the Hardlines Team within a global, multi-cultural technical support team. S/he is responsible for conducting internet-based research and monitoring, and providing technical support in regulatory requirements, safety and performance standards for consumer Hardlines products for international markets.
1.Timely handling of projects and enquiries. The outputs must be of professional standard and in the format(s) as required, such as test protocols, modules, technical reports / articles, training materials and presentations, etc.;
2.Proactively conduct research and systemically monitor applicable regulatory requirements, safety and performance standards for consumer Hardlines products for international markets;
3.Present internal/external technical trainings and seminars as required;
4.Support managing client projects by acting as the project coordinator in communications among the different teams within the Global Team and, where necessary, also with other internal technical experts;
5.Maintain and update all research information and project/enquiry output either electronically or as documents in the appropriate Company database systems;
6.Innovate and originate new business opportunities;
7.Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
1.A Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering or the equivalent qualification;
2.At least 5 years of combined experience in technical support, research and monitoring activities for consumer Hardlines products in a third-party testing laboratory;
3.Knowledge on the EU and USA regulatory frameworks and up-to-date with the regulatory and market requirements for consumer Hardlines products for the EU and USA markets is a must;
4.Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally to form effective cross-functional collaborations and networks;
5.The working language of this position is English and therefore fluency in written and spoken English at a professional level is required. Proficiency in other languages would be an advantage.
