TÜV SÜD has collaborated with the Society of Automotive Engineers International (SAE), China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC), Shanghai Intelligent Automotive Center (SIAC), and International Transportation Innovation Center (ITIC) to establish an international alliance to develop and harmonize global standards of test methods and uniformly recognized standards for automated driving. The mission of the International Alliance for Mobility Testing and Standardization (IAMTS) is the creation of an international portfolio for smart mobility test environments with the highest quality standards to effectively support the development and market launch of automated mobility.

Last year, TÜV SÜD launched a cooperation with NVIDIA and AVL GmbH to develop a certification process for highly/fully automated vehicles. An evaluation of the LBST Power-to-Gas (PtG) database shows that PtG-technology is advancing towards maturity and can increasingly be found in commercial applications. More than 50 PtG plants with a total electric capacity of more than 55 MW are in operation or planned throughout Germany.
