TÜV SÜD has launched Industrial Additive Manufacturing (AM) services to meet the demands of rapidly advancing additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies in the field of industrial use. TÜV SÜD will be holding seminars on this subject at INTERMOLD Tokyo in the Tokyo Big Sight from 17th to 20th of April 2019.

Last year, TÜV SÜD launched a cooperation with NVIDIA and AVL GmbH to develop a certification process for highly/fully automated vehicles. The goal of this collaboration is to validate and establish simulation as a method and approval tool for the digital homologation of the future. An evaluation of the LBST Power-to-Gas (PtG) database shows that PtG-technology is advancing towards maturity and can increasingly be found in commercial applications. More than 50 PtG plants with a total electric capacity of more than 55 MW are in operation or planned throughout Germany. Further large projects in the three-digit MW range have already been announced.

Showcasing new services, TÜV SÜD demonstrates at WindEurope 2019 that further optimisation of the safe harnessing of wind power is possible. TÜV SÜD's presence at the conference and exhibition focuses on assessments and inspections for the lifetime extension and site-specific certification of wind-turbine generators (WTGs) and the certification of floating foundations for offshore wind turbines. This European standard adopts an integrated approach that covers all aspects of data-centre facilities and infrastructures.
